Oops! Missed a spot
After a year of this, I have a pretty good eye for noticing graffiti. But I hadn’t been on a particular block - going south - on Harvard Street for several weeks. So, today, I was surprised to see a giant Phop tag - somewhat visible - that I have missed.
Where am I talking about? The alley between 41 and 43 Harvard Street:

Now, this shot was straight-on, so you can’t really see the giant Phop tag on the right-hand side, which is about 6 feet into the alley. Here is a picture I took 3 feet in:

Based on when I last saw this part of Harvard and the style of his large-style tag (which has changed over time) I would say this is between 3 and 12 weeks old. I immediately eliminated it - in fewer than 4 minutes.
But then I walked down the alley, which I had never been in before. Lots of very old graffiti there, but I left it alone as I don’t do alleys.
The alley opens at the back to Linden Street. However, just before it ends, I saw a previously-undiscovered Loki tag:

It is the same paint and handwriting as the other stuff, so I know it was him. But he must have been on someone’s shoulders (or a recycling bin) to keep his handwriting while writing “up”. Hmmmmm…. I wonder who that might be? ;-)
Anyway, I am glad to have found it. As he was recently arrested, this tag will probably earn him another 30 days in jail.
At the very end, and quite visible to Linden Street was this:

Ugh. If you seek fulfillment, I would recommend something other than crime. Why not walk 100 feet across Linden to Saint Mary’s? Salvation lies within.
